Nick DiGiovanni and Lynn Davis joined forces to make a 46-pound chicken nugget in Cambridge, CBS Boston reports. The enormous nugget was 115 times larger than the average chicken, Guinness World Records said.
The fast-food staple was made from 40 pounds of ground chicken, 40 slices of white bread and 40 eggs, according to a YouTube video documenting the experience. The chefs also had to use "a special contraption" to bake the colossal nugget that was shaped like a giant mold.
"I've made a lot of dino nuggets in my time but never have I used a paintbrush," DiGiovanni said while brushing egg wash on top of the treat before placing it the oven.
After several hours of baking, more breading and an internal temperature of 175 degrees, the nugget was finished, along with the previous record for the world's largest chicken nugget. To watch the monumental moment in its entirety, click here.
